I have also tried File Doctor to repair the file but it tells me my password is incorrect but I know it is not. Any suggestions? Once I get the file restored, I plan to bring up to a current version but without a successful restoration on any version of QBDT, I am at a loss.

I was able to install all of the software on my Windows 10 platform but when it comes to restoring the file, I am unable in ANY version. It allows me to open the file but then I have to update it to the latest version so I hit YES and it runs for a long time and finally stops and I get the message that my file was NOT restored. I have also tried File Doctor but it tells me the password is incorrect. There is only 1 password for the file and of course I tried a few times to be sure I was entering it correctly.
